History

The History and Our Origins


The Company of Pikemen and Musketeers was formed in 1925 to take part in the first Royal Tournament at the Royal Agricultural Hall.

The company’s first ‘outing’ was deemed to be such a success that the demonstration team was kept together and developed and has been providing colour and pageantry at events in the City of London and elsewhere ever since...learn more about our history and origins

Parades

Our Parades


In recent years, apart from escorting and attending the Lord Mayor and parading at many City functions the Company has provided carpet guards for Royal and charity events at St James’s Palace.

The Company of Pikeman and Muskateers have also provided a Sovereign’s Guard at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, been reviewed by HM The Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh and many more events...learn more about our parades

Engaging the P&M

Prestige & Pageantry at your Event
 

The Company can help you make your event special is a number of ways.

Some include, a colourful ‘carpet guard’ at your reception or dinner, Guards of Honour or escorts for important members of your organisation or visitors to your event, demonstrations of 17th century pike and musket drills, trooping or lodging the colour.
